An Olde Town Baptism

On Sunday we enjoyed one of our last firsts as parents. Our last little baby was baptised. Baptisms have always been such a beautiful, emotional event for us. It really is something that I wish I could relive a million times over. Our Ella will never remember this day at eight months old but I really want her to look back at the pictures and momentos of the day and see how each part reflected her sweet personality. Special gatherings like baptisms are unique when it comes to decor because you have the chance to create a feeling rather than a theme. I knew I wanted Jessica's special touch when it came to invitations. Her calligraphy is so beautiful and graceful. The cake, made by my Mom was a naked almond cake filled with raspberrry and whipped cream. I love how the fruit and flowers were scattered around the layers. In addition to drift wood and mercury glass, natural green garland and florals were hung and placed around the room. These were created with extra love and care by my talented mother in law. The final touch was lace drift wood sailboats and adorable white knots that were scattered around the room. These feminine touches were perfect for our beautiful, olde town girl who lives by the bayside. I am so happy with how it all came together!

Invitations: Poppy & Scooter | Florals: Soiree Savvy | Sailboats & Knots: 2Hands Studios
