I wanted to feature the boss ladies who contributed to the styled session bed by Jen Shee because they are also amazing creative hearts who are wonderful to work with and have a huge passion for what they do. Jen captured these before our session and I love them just as much. This is real life. Real talent. Real motherhood. I'm so grateful to be able to do what I do (and be a mom!) and I know these ladies are equally grateful they get to do what they love everyday!
Valerie Hammer is amazing. She made this tired mom of three feel like a million dollars and my makeup came out amazing on film. Val was so patient as she did my makeup. Ella clearly wanted some extra cuddles as she became comfortable with everyone who was at the shoot. Val didn't seem to mind and it was honestly like hanging out with an old friend. If you're looking for a makeup artist for your own family session, wedding or special event - Val is absolutely a dream to work with.
The inspiration for the floral crowns came from the sweet and tender love shared between a mother and daughter. Justine Bryant is the owner of Soiree Savvy Weddings and Events and says, "The crowns evoked a delicate softness and sweetness which immediately had me reaching for petite wax flower, soft peachy spray roses and micro Daisy mums. The end result was pieces of floral jewelry, crowns that were simply magical! Flowers are a universal language that everyone understands and shows us beauty in each petal." These crowns were so much more though because Justine also happens to be Ella's grandmother! This shoot was full of love in every single detail!
Thank you Val and Justine for all of your love and talent that you poured into this beautiful session!
